Our Croft

Over a decade ago, we fell in love with Isle of Skye and for the last two years we have been living our dream, leaving the buzz behind. This is a perfect home base for us, Claudia & Colin, and our animals; Highland Cattle, Hebridean Sheep and Hippie Chickens, Ducks, Honeybees and of course, Luna, our wee Border Collie.

Our Story

Bonnie Brae Croft began with a simple dream: to slow down, leave the busy world behind, and live closer to the land on the Isle of Skye. Today, that dream comes to life every day through the native livestock we care for—pedigree Highland cattle, hardy Hebridean sheep, characterful poultry and busy honeybees. Chosen for their resilience to Skye’s dramatic weather, these breeds help us farm responsibly while protecting traditional crofting skills. Visitors are welcome to discover how our animals shape daily life here, learn about sustainable crofting, and experience the authentic charm of a working croft with wide horizons, honest produce, and a story still unfolding.
